"the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast saying: 'O God, be merciful to me, a sinner." (Luke 18:13)
So,
he stood far off,
would not even look up,
beat on his breast...
talk about humble!?!?!?!?!
...sure he might have been a sinner ...but if he truly was a sinner then he was a very humble one at that!!!
...and God seeing his sorrow and humility replies:
"I tell you, when this man went down to his house, he had been set right with God... For... whoever humbles himself will be raised!" (Luke 18:14)
i think the words of Jesus speak for themselves!! ;-)
...and i need not add more!
...but being the chatter box i am :-(
i'll add a bit more of what Jesus' said:
"The Son of Man has come to seek and to save the lost."
(Luke 19:10)
so that settles it!! ;-)
God has come for us!!
me and you!!! ;-)
----------
Ps: i'm not putting a disclaimer today!!! what i have said is actually, practically all from the Bible! ...so just this once it's safe to say that this post does not have errors! ...they are Jesus' words not mine!! The pictures used (though cropped) were found on the internet and remain property of their rightful owners.

And just one last thing:
...boy ruth you talk tooo much!!!!
yeah i know :-(blushes with guilt! ;-)
In today's Gospel,
one of Jesus' disciples
made a prayer to Him asking:
"Lord, Teach us to pray!" (Luke 11:1)
...and God did! :-) (Luke 11:2-4)
The 'Our Father' has been prayed ever since
and the following 'You Tube' link
is one of the versions i like best! ;-) :
(You can also read the Gospel by clicking the 'Emmaus' picture on the right hand side).
